Developmental Paediatrics

Early Detection of Delayed Milestones

Did you know that 90% of a child’s brain develop by age 5?

The human brain is the command center of the entire body and is not fully developed at birth. A newborn’s brain is about a quarter of the size of the average adult brain. Incredibly, it doubles in size in the first year and keeps growing to about 80 percent of adult size by age three and 90 percent — nearly full grown — by age five.

Developmental Paediatrics provides specialized care for children and youth with a wide range of developmental disorders. These disorders may include cognitive or learning disabilities, global developmental delays, autism, motor disabilities such as cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, language disorders, hearing or visual impairments, and behavioral disorders.

In today’s world, there is need towards increased awareness and knowledge of children with developmental disorders with focus on developmental, behavioral and learning issues from infancy through young adulthood.

As a Developmental Paediatrican, I am trained and experienced in identifying a range of developmental and behavioral issues and Consult to evaluate and coordinate care for your child by working closely with other specialists.

Early detection of the delayed milestones is extremely critical & key, to provide appropriate care and management, it is important to identify and detect early.
